This position will be located at AIM's corporate office in Chicago IL (near O'Hare Airport) or the Deerfield IL office.  This position may be filled at the Business Analyst II or III level. Manager will determine level based upon selected
applicant's background and skill set relative to the qualifications of the position.

AIM’s Client Project Execution team is seeking a skilled professional to translate client business needs into application software and operational requirements. The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between AIM Clients, Business and Technology teams. Projects will be business and/or external client facing (new client implementations or updates for existing clients) in nature. Position may consider the business implications of the application of technology to current and future business environments.

Primary duties may include; but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes moderate to complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs;
  • Prepares and/or maintains business requirements and/or functional specification(s), identifying current client configuration / state and future state / configuration changes required to address changing business needs;
  • Interfaces with external clients and internal programming staff to ensure requirements meet all parties needs;
  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing;
  • May Develop project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit;
  • May Work with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing;
  • Initiates and leads conversations regarding requirement questions with external clients to complete gathering of business requirements and functional specifications;
  • Takes ownership and applies time management skills to adhere to project timeline and deliverable work schedule;
  • Applies product strategy and standards to project assignments
  • Identifies cross project and cross functional dependencies;
  • Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues;
  • Maintains Client Implementation templates based on changes in product development.
Requirements:

Business Analyst II:
  • BS/BA degree
  • 3-5 years related business analysis experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, health insurance payer processes or Utilization Management is a plus;
  • Experience with membership, provider or authorization data and processes is a plus;
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, AIM’s provider portal or Imasis is a plus. 
Business Analyst III
  • BS/BA degree
  • 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, health insurance payer processes or Utilization Management is a plus;
  • Experience with membership, provider or authorization data and processes is a plus;
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, AIM’s provider portal or Imasis is a plus.
