Responsibilities include:Operate the DevOps@Anthem Sandbox—collaborate
with enterprise teams in IT and application development teams to rapidly
standup infrastructure and assist in developing solutions to DevOps problems.
In addition, work on devising and implementing solutions for automation
bottlenecks afflicting the enterprise. Evangelize DevOps technologies,
methodology, and workflows and actively work for their adoption by providing
coaching, training, documentation, advice, and hands-on technical support.
Work with the Anthem DevOps Center of
Excellence where you will facilitate efforts as a DevOps Engineer working with
application development teams and IT groups to implement CI/CD technologies,
workflows, and processes. Train, advise, coach, and work hands-on with
teams adopting Agile and DevOps approaches to software delivery as well as
working with the business to curate and share adoption patterns.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise
in continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and practices
(CI/CD)
- 1+
years’ experience in an interpreted language like Python, Ruby, or Node.JS
- Experience
in working with Docker containers—administration, use, and design
- Understanding
of basic IPv4 networking concepts
- Understanding
of YAML, XML and JSON
- 2+
years’ experience working with source control management systems such as
Git, Subversion, and TFS. Strong understanding of Git branching strategies
and workflows and BitBucket experience is preferred.
- 2+
years’ experience in systems administration skills for virtual servers
operating RHEL, Windows, UNIX-like systems, etc.
- 2+
years’ Linux shell scripting experience
- 2+
years’ Windows shell scripting experience (PowerShell or cmd)
- 2+
years’ experience working with a CI server/orchestration product, such as
Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, XL Release/Deploy to automate software delivery
and incorporate disparate pieces of software delivery pipelines
- 2+
years’ experience in working with DBMS systems like SQL Server, Oracle,
DB2, MySQL, Sybase, MongoDB, PostgreSQL as they relate to application
development – Knowledge of SQL and basic DBA tasks a necessity
- 2+
years’ experience in ‘Configuration
Management’ automation and best practices with tools like Ansible,
Puppet, Chef, Salt
- 2+
years’ experience in ‘Infrastructure as Code’, automation and best
practices using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, SaltStack, etc.
- 2+
years’ experience working with build Scripting tools/task runners like
Gulp, Grunt, Psake, Maven, MsBuild
- 2+
years’ experience automating package/dependency management using tools
like NuGet, npm, JFrog Artifactory, etc
- 2+
years’ working with middleware/application servers like IIS, Tomcat,
nginx, WebSphere, etc.
- Experience
integrating static code analysis for security/quality with tools into
CI/CD pipelines with tools like Veracode, SonarQube, etc.
- Experience
with automating developer local environment workflows using tools like
Vagrant, etc.
- Experience
with container orchestration systems such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
- Experience
working with database release automation workflows using tools such as
Control-M and Datical
- 1+
years’ experience automating testing functions for ‘Continuous Testing’ implementation—such as writing unit,
integration, or regression tests with Junit, Nunit, etc.
- Experience
with UAT/acceptance testing frameworks like Selenium or NightmareJS
- Understanding
of BDD/TDD principles and familiarity with toolsets like Cucumber or
SpecFlow
- Experience
with log/data aggregation systems such as Splunk
- Strong
verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to
communicate with customers, vendors and partners, and across all levels of
the organization

years of experience in an Enterprise IT environment
