The Digital Content Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Digital Marketing Operations Managers with day to day development of email campaigns and SMS text executions; helps align data and user journeys with email campaigns. Note: This role is email development only, no website or microsite development, and no formal people-management responsibilities.  Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops email and SMS campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Will manage multiple email campaigns while ensuring all content matrixes align with Anthem’s campaign engine.
  • Create UX/ UI within brand standards leveraging strong developer language knowledge, including HTML, Javascript, and MSQL.
  • Oversees the digital content change process. 
  • Drives improvements in change, incident, and request management processes. 
  • Acts as the client support advocate, leads operational staff to meet defined SLAs, set priorities and drive team members to deliver projects within defined timelines. 
  • Establishes the customer relationship management best practices employed by the digital content operations team. 
  • Contributes to the digital content excellence and identifies training needs for skill building.
  • May serve as a lead role and have dotted line resource accountability. 

  • BA/BS degree; 5+ years experience working in digital content operations in complex, regulated industries, or combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Strong developer language knowledge including AMPscript, ExactTarget, HTML, Javascript, MSQL are required.
  • Ability to understand, adapt, and create a UI/UX that compliments Anthem brand standards.
  • Development - Fluent in working in a-fast paced environment, managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to understand content matrix excel spreadsheets and build out variable data points within email.
Preferred skills:
  • Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud coding, including AMPscripting.
  • SMC certification preferred.
  • ExactTarget, Email Journeys, Email Deployment at large scale sends
  • Waterfall and Agile workflow experience, strong emphasis with agile understanding and knowledge.
  • Agile Certification a strongly preferred.
  • Prior B2C or direct to consumer experience in digital is preferred in combination with communications or a marketing background. 
  • Strong delegation and interdepartmental negotiation skills.
