Business Change Director – Remote in CA
Responsible for working with management to identify and implement varied projects, programs and plans that support achievement of business unit and enterprise goals. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensures the successful and timely implementation and execution of assigned projects and programs.
  • Creates and maintains project plans and timelines, training materials, P&Ps, and other documentation. Keep all stakeholders informed of project status and risks.
  • Identifies potential issues. Leads efforts to identify best practices. Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
  • Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.
  • Designs methods for integrating functions and processes.
  • Influence stakeholders and builds support for business change throughout the health plan.
  • Provides process, project, and change management methodology coaching/consulting support for both local and enterprise wide initiatives.
  • Leads the project prioritization and scheduling activities for the business unit.
  • Provides expertise to the business areas in culture/change management activities.
  • Provides expertise in process planning and portfolio management activities.
  • Supports the execution of the operating plan.
  • Business travel around 25% within California.
  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 10 years managing mid to large-scale change/project initiatives including knowledge of planning models and methodology, project management and change management experience (strategic and execution); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Requires 5 years of healthcare industry experience, preferably in a health insurance environment.
  • Intermediate or above Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Experience with California’s PMG/IPA delegated model preferred.
  • Strong writing, listening, and comprehension skills preferred.
  • Having a positive “Can-do” attitude and be extremely organized, responsive, and continuously open to feedback and self-development opportunities preferred.
  • Project management related certification(s) a plus.
