The Training Specialist may be located in any of the following California  locations: Glendale, Los Angeles, Thousand Oaks, Sacramento, Rancho Cordova
 
Requires a clinical license (RN, LPN, LCSW, etc.) in the state of CA.

The Training Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of internal and external training/education efforts related to the California Health Homes Program, Palliative Care, Whole Person Care, Long Term Services and Supports, or other state-mandated programs and services for the Med-Cal population.  The Training Specialist with facilitate a variety of performance-based learning events that may include, but are not limited to general associate, management, clinical, technical and operations training.  The Training Specialist will also be responsible for the development of educational materials, job aides, and other documentation to assist in the implementation of programs.
 
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
•         Develops and facilitates learning events for internal and external stakeholders.
•         Delivers synchronous and asynchronous learning events using varied media in virtual and global environments.
•         Employs rapid course development methodologies to quickly meet client needs.
•         Exercises classroom management including learner performance and escalates issues to Learning & Development and client leadership when necessary.
•         Measures, tracks and evaluates learner and client satisfaction.
•         Thinks and acts globally and is aware of learning and cultural differences that drive learner effectiveness.
•         Works across departments to develop education and job-related materials, and to obtain necessary approvals.
•         Acts as a subject matter expert for applicable programs.
•         Keeps technical skills updated.
 
 

 
Requires BA/BS in related field; minimum of 3 years training experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
-Four years of clinical or social service experience and an active, unrestricted clinical license in the state of California required - RN, LPN, LCSW, etc.
-MBA preferred.
-Previous experience in collateral development required
-Experience/certification in Trauma Informed Care or Person Centered Planning preferred
-Knowledge of the California Health Homes Program, Palliative Care, Whole Person Care, or Long Term Services and Supports preferred
-Experience in working with the Medi-Cal population, including but not limited to seniors, persons with mental or physical disabilities, or individuals with chronic medical conditions preferred
-Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
-Must have strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Ability to travel locally required.
