Community Relations Representative III

Location: This is a work-at-home/remote position, which requires employee to reside within Bowling Green, KY or a surrounding county. You will be servicing these counties: Adair, Allen, Barren, Butler, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Green, Hart, Logan, McCreary, Metcalfe, Monroe, Pulaski, Russell, Simpson, Taylor, Warren and Wayne counties. 
 
Responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of strategies related to specific business programs, products, territory or expansion. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 
  • Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with the member population for the primary purpose of increasing enrollment and decreasing disenrollment
  • Ensures consistent compliance with state, federal, and company specific requirements
  • Develops a standard process for assessing the feasibility and development of sponsored event programs
  • Conducts marketing activities, events, exhibits, education, and presentations in an effort to gain members and maintain and/or establish relationships with providers, community, and faith based organizations
  • Identifies and enlists the cooperation of individuals, groups, social service agencies and other community organizations in educational and outreach activities
  • Identifies cultural issues regarding current and potential members; communicate those issues and concerns to management immediately


Training/Work Schedule:
  • This is a work from home position; however, the majority of your time will be spent at community events or conducting meet and greets. The hours of this position are variable, based on event schedules. However, your schedule will be Monday through Friday, day shift hours, when not attending events. You will also have one scheduled day a week to work from home to complete administrative tasks. 
  • Training will be virtual and conducted at home via computer. You will also be paired up with another Community Relations Representative to job shadow. 
  • You will need to travel to our Louisville office location on Day 1 to collect marketing materials, and thereafter to restock your materials. 


Requirements:
  • Requires an Associates Degree; 
  • 4 years of experience in managed care/healthcare or sales/marketing environment; 
  • Or, any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • BA/BS preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and valid motor vehicle insurance required. You will be provided with a company car, so you must have a clean driving record.
  • State health insurance licensure preferred.
  • Requires a secure home internet connection to allow for access to Anthem’s VPN (Virtual Private Network). 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and have moderate PC skills.
  • Skills Required:
    • Time management – you will need to be able to task yourself and monitor progress
    • Self-motivation – you will need to be able to take the initiative to actively participate in community events to become familiar with the population you are addressing.
    • Interpersonal Skills – you will be working with other staff members, but you will also be in close contact with the public. This means that you will need to adjust your modes of interaction and approach to maintain engagement while disseminating knowledge.
