We have an opening for a Developer Advisor that will be responsible for participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Solution and design with the business requirements.
  • Mentor and lead other developers within the team.
  • Develops relationships with the business to better understand business requirements.
  • Develops knowledge in change request process and develops exhibits and other materials, under supervision.
  • Assists in documenting limited business and technical requirements and coding of system components.
  • Assists in developing unit test plans and is given specific tasks to support implementation plan.
  • Develops the ability to provide on-call support and monitor the system.
  • Facilitates small groups in peer code reviews and participates in vendor evaluation.
This position must work from our Rockville, MD location.
  • Requires BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training; 5 or more years related experience; multi-platform experience; , expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, project lead multiple small projects and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Multi-dimensional required.

  • AngularJS experience required.
  • Java experience required.
  • Spring Java experience required.
  • Maven experience required
  • GIT experience required
  • Agile-Scrum experience required.
  • Multi database and/or multi language preferred.

  • WebSphere Content Manager experience.
  • WebSphere Application Server experience.
  • Apache Tomcat server experience
  • Agile and SAFe experience is a must.
  • Atlassian JIRA experience is a must.
  • Atlassian Bitbucket experience is a must.
  • Web Services, WSDL experience.
