Overview of Opportunity:
Responsible for serving as the cardiology director for cardiac programs and providing invasive and/or non-invasive consultative cardiology services in hospital and clinic settings. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Provides initial consultation and daily follow-up rounds on patients in the cardiology service. Provides hospital coverage in coordination with other interventional and non-invasive cardiologists. Performs appropriate non-invasive studies (stress testing, TEE, cardioversion, etc) on hospitalized patients and scheduled outpatients. Interprets ECGs and Echos. Provides outpatient consultations. Serves as an interventional cardiologist performing invasive procedures (cardiac caths, stents, cardioversion, TEEs and pacemakers). Develops evidence-based cardiology practice guidelines and standard practices. Oversees, evaluates, and improves the cardiology based programs in care centers. Assists in developing cardiology programs in different markets. Educates, provides guidance and mentors clinicians. Serves as the subject matter expert for cardiology. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requires an MD  or DO and completion of approved internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship. Requires current unrestricted medical licensure in applicable state(s) and board eligibility or board certification. Nuclear, CT angiography experience/certification preferred. For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a pre-placement Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
