Financial/Accounting Operations Specialist  
 
Responsible for performing diverse operational financial and policy activities of a non-routine nature. Interprets and communicates departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
 
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Receives, validates and enters information into Finance systems.
  • Adheres to maintained internal controls and tracking reports for reconciliations and analysis.
  • Monitors and updates controls to ensure compliance.
  • Conducts independent analysis for the purpose of resolving complex and varied work process issues.
 
Financial/Accounting Operations Specialist Sr.
 
Responsible for supporting Financial Operations initiatives through the leadership of associates or work functions.
 
 Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides advanced operational and technical expertise to coordinate workflow. Assists management in overseeing day to day production needs of the department through training, coaching and oversight of staff.
  • Coordinates multiple job responsibilities and adjusts work schedule.
  • Assures compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Assesses and creates maintained internal controls and tracking reports for reconciliations and analysis.
  • Communicates and educates internal and external customers as well as staff on policies and procedures.
  • Assists in project and production efforts to include process review and system testing.

  • Requires High School diploma / GED;
  • 4-5 years relevant work experience (5+ years Senior level);
  • or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • AA Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Must be available for core hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM PACIFIC time.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Billing and data entry experience preferred.
  • STAR and WGS billing, membership and broker experience a plus.
