Developer II/ Sr

***This role is posted as a job family. The compensation and title will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise.***
Responsible for participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.
  • Collaborates with engineers and graphic designers, analyzes and classifies complex change request and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.
  • Works with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.
  • Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.
  • Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews.
  • Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.
  • Aids in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Provides on call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies. 
  1. Day to day responsibilities:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Experienced .NET Developer with strong working knowledge in Microsoft technologies
  • Can quickly pick up and move development efforts on small to medium development teams
  • Advanced knowledge of application security best practices within web applications is required
  • Exposure working with Agile Methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of debugging both .NET Client Application and ASP.NET applications to identify and analyze defects
  • Understanding of Restful services and maintenance of Web APIs
  • Working knowledge of security models like OAuth, Certificate security and basic authentication
  • Understanding of Application security scans and providing remediation solution approaches
  • Hands on experience with Application logging frameworks is required
  • Knowledge in creating and maintaining application using ASP.NET MVC, C#, Bootstrap, Knockout JS and Angular JS
  • Detailed understanding of Entity Framework and Unity/Ninject as DI container
  • Planning and implementing Development POCs as needed at every level of application development
  • Working exposure to AJAX and JQuery
  • Working experience querying the data using LINQ is an asset
  • Designed and developed several Middle-Tier components to implement the Business rules
  • Familiar with applications communication between Data Access Tier components, Presentation Tier Components, and through implemented method with properties
  • Solid SQL programming and development using MS-SQL 2008 & 2012 and Oracle recent versions
  • Familiar with relational 3NF database structures
  • Solid experience with software component vendors to enhance functional features
  • Experience in n-tier application architecture design on the Microsoft platform
  • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are important in this position
  • Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary
  • Develops and owns list of final enhancements and supports applications as required
  • Develops and defines application scope and objectives
  • Prepares technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written
  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews
  • Ensures unit test completion, meets test plan requirements, system testing is completed according to plan
  • Assesses current status and supports data information planning
  • Facilitates group design and collaboration sessions to elicit complex information on SDLC topics


Technical Skills:
  • Salesforce Knowledge, a plus
  • .NET Web Required
  • .NET Desktop development, preferred
  • Swagger with ASP.NET, a plus
  • Required Advanced knowledge ASP.NET
  • Unity/Ninject
  • Required Advanced both VB.NET and C#
  • Entity Framework
  • MVC Frameworks
  • Experience with sourcing control tools
  • Experience with Object Relational Modeling (ORM)
  • Has leveraged different tools such as Entity Framework (and/or nHibernate) and LINQ
  • Experience with web services (SOA, WCF)
  • Client-side browser development using  Ajax, jQuery, Knockout, or AngularJS, CSS, and HTML
  •   SAP BusinessObjects Intelligence Reporting, a plus
  • Exposure to Java/J2EE technologies and Sprint Framework, a plus but not required
  • Exposure to Java SE Application Design With MVC, a plus but not required


Developer II:Requires BA/BS degree or technical institute training and 1 or more years; experience on one platform, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Multi database, multi language or multi business application is preferred.

Developer Sr:
Requires BA/BS degree or technical institute training; 3+ years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead small projects and provide troubleshooting support.
