GBD Personal Guide – Atlanta, GA – PS1205

The GBD (Government Business Division) Personal Guide is responsible for serving GBD members with the Anthem Personal Guide Service Model. Primary duty to include, but are not limited to: 

  • Facilitate and coordinate resolution with internal and external contacts to satisfy a member’s need.
  • Interprets plan benefit design; resolves complex claim, benefit, and enrollment issues.
  • Performs research to respond to inquiries and interprets policy provisions to determine most effective response.
  • Increases member engagement into appropriate programs and offerings.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and educator on health care related inquiries.
  • Coaches members on ways to reduce health risks and compliance by scheduling appointments or enrollment in programs.
  • Prepares reports to document case and compliance updates. 
  • Assesses member compliance with medical treatment plans via telephone.
  • Identifies barriers to plan compliance and coordinates resolutions.
  • Identifies opportunities that impact quality goals and recommends process improvements.
  • Recommends treatment plan modifications and determines need for additional services, in conjunction with case management and provider.
  • Coordinates identification of and referral to local, state or federally funded programs.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with agencies identified in appropriate contract.

Job Requirements

Requires:

  • HS diploma or GED
  • 5 years of the company's customer service experience
  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Must have strong organizational skills to multi-task and organize case loads.
  • Excel proficiency preferred.
  • Previous Behavioral Health experience preferred.
