Group Retiree Solutions (GRS) Sales Account Executive II/III
Work location: California, New York, Maine, New Hampshire


In this role, you will be responsible for the identification, development and sale of new business Group Retiree health plans to the large group Commercial (local market and ANA), public sector plan sponsors and Unions/Trust plan sponsors in an assigned market(s). The typical retiree eligible group size is 2,500+.  You will also be responsible for working to prospect, cultivate and win mid to large retiree opportunities across Anthem ANA, L&T and Large/Strategic local Commercial Accounts.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with leading health care consultants and brokers throughout an assigned market(s).
- Partner closely with assigned Commercial Sales and/or Account Management teams to promote and educate targets and prospects, while serving as the Group Retiree subject matter expert on Anthem's Group Retiree capabilities.
- Execute Anthem's Group Retiree sales strategy in partnership with our internal Commercial New Sales and Account Management teams to identify opportunities and coordinate proposals and quoting activities.
- Partner with our internal Commercial New Sales and Account Management teams and internal stakeholders to drive goto-market strategy and growth plans.
- Expand Anthem's Group Retiree market visibility, membership and operating income.
- Contribute to thinking and market insights into the strategic direction of Anthem's Group Retiree business, helping to refine product offerings and the Group Retiree value proposition.
- Educate internal Commercial New Sales and Account Management teams, external broker producers, and target plan sponsors on Anthem's Group Retiree product offerings, capabilities and health care solutions.
- Actively participate in team meetings focused on RFP pipeline management, target prospects and producer firm activities.
Requires a BA/BS business or related fields; 5-15 years of experience in Group Retiree (Medicare) benefit sales preferred, or any combination of education and experience in large group healthcare sales.
 
-Requires a current Life Agent License with Department(s) of Insurance based on each state in his/her territory.
-Ability to travel in an assigned market(s).

 
GRS Sales Account Executive II – 5-10 years of experience
GRS Sales Account Executive III – 7-15 years of experience

 
Please note: This position may be filled at either the GRS Sales Account Executive II or III level. Manager will determine level based upon selected applicant's background and skill set relative to the qualifications of the position.
