Identifies and creates test assets and performs application testing.  Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Leads and coordinates testing for small to medium initiatives. 
  • Identifies, creates, and executes the  appropriate Test Assets (plans, cases, scripts, metrics) to assure the developed application conforms to requirements and design.
  •  Coordinates/executes testing across multiple testing phases, including SIT, UAT, and Regression.
  •  Defines appropriate testing methods to employ to assure developed application conforms to requirements and design.
  •  Leads Peer Reviews to ensure the completeness of  all Test Assets created.
  •  Ensures all applicable SDLC and testing processes are followed. 
  • Executes linkage from test plan to test scenarios and test cases.
  • Assists in the creation of or creates and communicates all testing deliverable(s) (MTP, TES, etc.
  • Analyzes and interprets requirements, design and technical specification documents. 
  •  Based on requirements, design and technical specifications defines moderately complex required tests and corresponding test data.  
  • Identifies and documents appropriate test techniques and test tools for the level and type of testing to be performed. Identifies most appropriate implementation approach for any given tests. 
  •  Identifies most appropriate implementation approach for any given tests. 
  •  Development of and execution to simple formal test plans per established guidelines to ensure quality delivery of the application under test. Resolves moderately complex test plan issues. 
  • During the testing process, monitors the application/system for exceptions and other items requiring post-test attention. 
  • Develops testing documentation (i.e., test cases, test scripts) and obtains approval of the documentation from the testing manager, business owner and other stakeholders. 
  • Assists lead in coordination and execution of tests developed and records results. Analyzes and recovers from test execution anomalies. 
  •  Conducts gap analysis discovery between expected outcomes and actual outcomes. 
  •  Analyzes and recovers from test execution anomalies. 
  •  Lead the coordination of data and configuration loads into the test environment. 
  •  Develops and monitors test schedules. 
  •   Works with project managers and coordinators from the assigned operational areas on planning and execution of testing activities for agile projects. 
  •  Performs data queries of moderate complexity.  
  •  Provides leadership and technical guidance to less experienced test analysts/designers. 
  •   Develops training materials working with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the department. 
  • Develops and maintains departmental performance reports. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Software Analysis, Design and Development knowledge/experience
  • Solid background in Software Quality & Testing. Must have hands-on experience having performed both functional and non-functional testing and be able to review requirements, design and even code as needed
  • Advanced Object Oriented Development knowledge/experience
  • Experience developing complex SQL queries for data validation
  • Experience developing in Java a plus
  • Experience developing in .NET a plus
  • Experience developing with JavaScript (JQuery) a plus
  • Experience developing with VBScript a plus
  • Experience in HTML a plus
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle as well as various SDLC methodologies
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and organization skills.
  • Experience working on Agile/ Scrum methodologies is highly preferred.
  • Experience working on Testing tools like QC, QTP, Rational Testing tools is required.
  • Experience working on automation testing tools like Selenium and Cucumber is nice to have.
  • Experience working on Test management tools is required - Tools like Zephyr, Jira is preferred.

IT Quality Control Analyst:Requires Bachelor's degree in related field; minimum one year of testing and application quality experience;  or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.  Demonstrated ability to perform test execution.

IT Quality Control Analyst Sr.:
Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; minimum 3 years ; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.  Demonstrated ability to perform and manage test execution activities. Quality Certification, such as CSTE, CSQA, CMST, CSQE preferred.
