Position will be based in Anthem Wallingford, CT or Atlanta, GA office 

 
Responsible for supporting the Vendor Management Office by managing the vendor relationship specifically around performance management, contract management, financial management and governance. This role is critical to supporting the growing relationship between Anthem and vendors, with key IT stakeholders who are based out of the Wallingford, CT office.
 
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Serving as the single source of contact for vendors, supporting the supplier excellence program for this vendor via co-innovation to identify process improvement opportunities that will maximize strategic value from this vendor relationship, managing contract terms and performance metrics, and overseeing the execution of governance responsibilities by the vendor and internal stakeholders.
  • Works with governance lead to manage the governance of the company's vendor management organization.
  • Engages key stakeholders to review operational progress.
  • Manages supplier spend and performance.
  • Assesses the organization's ability to meet objectives and achieve commercial expectations.
  • Ensures vendors contractual compliance.
  • Works with vendor management analysts to manage new service requests, changes requests, issues and disputes.
  • Provides contract knowledge and drives ongoing value from the vendor through contract negotiations, changes, reviews and terminations.
  • Requires BA/BS in related field; 3+ years of IT industry experience; including leadership experience in service and delivery management and strong experience in performance, contract, and financial management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Ability to travel may be required.
 
This position is not a people leader manager and will not have direct reports but will operate as an individual contributor.
