Summary
 
The Cardiologist provides full non-invasive consultative cardiology services in both hospital and clinic settings. We offer a unique opportunity to participate in a cardiology practice as part of a dynamic, growing health plan. Work with expert, congenial colleagues in all specialties; with great potential for personal and professional growth.  
 
Current Modalities Available: All hospitals with full non-invasive cardiology labs, including Echo, TEE, nuclear. 3 of our hospitals include full service cath labs and open heart programs. New 64 head CT scanner at primary cardiac hospital.  Free standing out-patient center with excellent echo, nuclear, stress testing equipment.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Hospital setting  
    1.  All patients are under the attending service of a CareMore hospitalist. Cardiologist will provide initial consultation and daily follow-up rounds on patients on the cardiology service.
    2. Coverage of 4 hospitals in coordination with our current cardiologists (2 interventional and 1 non-invasive).
    3. Normal rounding rarely includes more than 2 hospitals on any given day.
    4. Perform appropriate non-invasive studies (stress testing, TEE, cardioversion…) on hospitalized patients and scheduled out-patients.
    5. Regular interpretation of all ECG’s and Echos.  
  2. Clinic setting 
    1.  4 half days per week seeing follow-up patients and outpatient consultations.
    2. Out-patient stress testing at free standing facility.

Compliance: Complies with all State and Federal laws and regulations governing our business. Reports suspected compliance issues timely to include allegations or fraud and abuse.
 
Dependability: Punctuality, attendance, meeting deadlines, and requires minimal supervision. Provides proper notification and/or uses proper call-in procedures when absent.
 
External Customer Service: Interaction with patients, vendors, guests, hospitals, etc. Attempts to meet and exceed customer expectations and resolve concerns.
 
Initiative: Demonstrates self-motivating abilities, enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and creativity in the workplace. Seeks to resolve problems, not to be held back by obstacles.
 
Integrity: Demonstrates sound business ethics and abides by CareMore's code of conduct. Follows all company policies and procedures.

  2. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Board certified/board eligible in cardiology.
  3. Other Qualifications:  Nuclear, CT angiography experience/certification a plus.
