Internal Title: Configuration Engineer I
Location: Norfolk, VA (on-site)
Responsible for supporting the production and test environments used to support Regional, Enterprise and/or other special mobile project releases.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Works directly with customers to define environment requirements and leads the environment set-up and maintenance.
  • Manages and executes build, installation scripts and deployment scripts.
  • Monitors system performance and capacity for all production and test environments and troubleshoots environmental issues.
  • Sets up and executes jobs to extract and manipulate data, executes database changes and works with the database to ensure data related needed are handled efficiently.
  • Leads production and test environment design and modification meetings.
  • Manages and maintains migrations of applications and configurations between environments and validates environments for integrity.
  • Compile release notes to summarize contents of each migration and creates scripts to migrate code.
  • Works to maintain and enhance the security posture of mobile computing applications and platforms
  • Works with the release team to transition from development to production.
  • Requires BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree or combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background.
  • 1+ years of IT experience, including experience in an application development environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Multiple trade certifications and multi-platform experience are preferred.
  • You will work in a mobile application production environment which requires periodic on-call rotational support.
  • Ability to work daily in the Norfolk, Virginia office is a requirement.
  • Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic and/or Jboss experience is required.
  • Understanding and experience in mult-tier web/mobile architectures is strongly preferred.
