Preferred Location: Seattle, Washington. Other locations will be considered but must be willing to work Pacific Time business hours.

The Regulatory Oversight Consultant is responsible for providing enterprise-wide reporting and oversight of federal and state regulatory implementation, compliance and exam activities. This is an experienced associate with knowledge specific to the company and who can handle the most complex assignments or projects. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Communicates state and federal laws and regulations throughout the company. Provides oversight of the regulatory process while monitoring the development of implementation plans, gap analysis, milestone dates, and other significant aspects of corporate-wide projects.  Provides guidance as a regulatory subject matter expert, implements improvements in the company's regulatory process, and manages the enterprise-wide efforts to improve responsiveness to and consistency of company responses to market conduct exams; and provides enterprise-wide reporting on exam status, penalties and trends. Collaborates with the Compliance Officer to implement compliance program requirements.  Performs oversight of contractual, operational, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant organizational operations.   Serves as a database subject matter expert while maintaining knowledge of database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues. Must be able to perform all duties of lower level positions as directed by management.  

Job Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree; 3 - 5 years of responsible and effective regulatory or compliance related experience in healthcare or managed care industry that includes data analysis, reporting, research, problem-solving and project management experience; with strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff, 5 years of regulatory oversight experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA or a professional certification in a related field preferred. Ability to travel may be required.
