This position will manage the portfolio of Vivity strategic initiatives. This will include multiple provider types (hospitals, physicians, ASCs and ancillary providers) and it will cover all product spectrums within Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid. The ideal candidate will be responsible to work directly with his/her peers across the organizations (including Provider Solutions, local P&L owners and Diversified Business Group) to identify, cultivate, define and build initiatives.  This includes tracking all activity to successfully reach specific objectives and support the executive sponsor in identifying areas of synergy to leverage experience across the portfolio.  The primary focus of the role is to manage existing and future/new channel partnerships and progress a vertical integration strategy.  Anthem believes that value based care is vital to our success, and foundational to this is our ability to rapidly cultivate and execute partnerships with our care providers across all of our geographies.  These partnerships will more closely align Anthem with our care providers, equally focusing on the patient/consumer for increased positive outcomes. 
Key to success in this role, the ideal candidate will:
  • Drive the strategy for expanding and cultivating new joint venture initiatives
  • Participate in corporate-wide strategic planning activities including participation in the Plan of Record review, annual budget cycle

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years leadership and executive level experience spanning commercial and government business lines; or any combination of education and experience, which would providean equivalent background
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing provider networks or working in risk bearing provider/delivery systems
  • Successful   leadership skillsin program management/execution, and people management 
  • Ability to plan, organize, administer, and coordinate a varietyof large and complex services, projects, and programs
  • Successful leadership and management experience building effective teams, managing cross functional teams, and continuous improvement/staff development programs
  • Experience in sales/marketing, network management, underwriting, operations, finance preferred
  • Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking and demonstrated organizational leadership capabilities required
  • Key skills include analytical ability, innovation and creativity, teamwork and communications
  • Ability to successfully interface at all levels with the customer, industry, and corporate entities
