Responsible for procedures to ensure the safety of information system assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
 
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide first level technical trouble resolution
  • Solve basic or repetitive problems
  • Provide administrative support in the modification, design and set-up of applications security.
  • Perform implementation tasks for systems and networks under supervision.
  • Perform system and network upgrade tasks under supervision.
  • Complete orders of vendor services designed and configured by senior team members.
  • Compile data in support of equipment and user relocations or system migrations.
  • Perform simple configuration changes to meet business requirements under supervision.
  • Compile and collect capacity data to be used for planning purposes
  • Perform documented preventative maintenance routines under supervision.
  • Respond to level 3 &4 change and problem requests with supervision.
Security Analyst I:
Requires 1+ years experience in general business knowledge, computers, computer networking, telecommunications, and hardware/software support, access management or network security technologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 1 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security. Requires 1 + years experience in with general business knowledge, computers, computer networking, telecommunications, hardware/software support required, access management or network security technologies. Knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted data processing controls and concepts as applied to hardware, software, data, network communications, and people.

 
Security Analyst II:
Requires 2+ years experience in suport and operations role in any of the following areas:  access management of network security technologies, servers, networks, telecommunications, operating systems, middleware, hardware/software support, or other infrastructure role.  Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 2 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security. Knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted data processing controls and concepts as applied to hardware, software, data, network communications, and people.
 
Security Analyst III:
Requires a BA/BS; 3+ years of experience in a support and operations or design and engineering role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Technical security certifications (e.g. Systems Security Certified Practitioner) preferred.
 
Application development experience is preferred.
