Business Development Manager

Location:  New York, NY

The Special Assistant will serve as organizer and executor of key initiatives for the leader of CareMore’s Primary Care & Collaboration area related to strategy and growth.  The Special Assistant will craft and run division strategic planning, key growth planning initiatives, and serve as ‘chief of staff’ for the leadership team of Primary Care & Collaboration.  This role will expose the selected individual to the business, operations, and clinical strategy of a growing division of CareMore and functions ranging from care management to technology.  Candidates should have proven leadership, strategic, and team management experience.  The Special Assistant will report to the leader of CareMore’s Primary Care & Collaboration division and join a national group of leaders across CA, AZ, NV, TN, IA, GA, and CT.  Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
  • Drive key division initiatives to create a strong strategic and operational structure for the division, and support those initiatives to scale CareMore’s Primary Care models
  • Work across a mix of areas, including market and division performance management, clinical operations, analytics, population health (clinical programs & quality)
  • Support health plan partner collaboration across core operational areas (network, case management, utilization management) with market general managers and regional medical officers
  • Works closely with regional and local market clinical leaders to surpass growth goals
  • Oversees research, analysis and the development of recommendations on the external environment as part of the development of strategic business plans, including major competitor strategies
  • Consolidates data, analysis and recommendations into concise business plans
  • Develops and implements project plans and oversees project resources.

Job Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree; 5-7 years of business development experience including 7 years of healthcare related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Strong strategic and operational analytic capabilities.  Applicable experience: Top care delivery, management consulting, finance, or business strategy firms; healthcare/care delivery strategy & operations.  Top-tier MBA/MPH/MHA programs.  Master’s degree is strongly preferred.  Position requires travel to support Memphis, TN, Des Moines, IA, Los Angeles, CA and new expansion markets as implemented.
