 Talent Acquisition Manager (Clinical)
Location: Strong preference for position to reside in an Anthem location in New York.

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full cycle recruiting and proactive talent sourcing tied to direct patient care/patient facing environment specific to multiple professional areas within Anthem's CareMore Business Division.

This role offers high visibility to Anthem leadership as this individual will be recruiting clinical talent including physicians and other licensed clinical positions across the organization.

This position will interface and provide recruiting support, talent identification and consultation. This position will also serve to broaden Anthem’s professional network and brand, and enhance pipeline development for future talent needs. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates with hiring managers, leadership and HR delivery team in the staffing and selection process to develop recruitment plans and ensure positions are filled with the most highly talented candidates.
  • Makes recommendations for sourcing and job marketing strategy to attract qualified talent to open positions, this should include diversity strategies to ensure attraction of a diverse workforce to the company.
  • Deliver a qualified and diverse candidate slate of passive/active talent to fill critical business openings through the use of advanced sourcing and screening techniques which may include advanced internet searches, cold calling, networking and research.
  • Experience using screening techniques which may include leveraging organizational leadership competency models to evaluate candidate fit beyond technical skills, including leadership/culture fit within role/organization.
  • Make recommendations related to additional spend for recruitment strategy efforts.
  • Provide an exceptional recruiting experience for both internal hiring leaders and candidates.
  • Meet key operating metrics tied to the recruiting continuum and consistently ensure compliance and process adherence within the hiring and selection process.
  • Engage and recommend high potential internal talent from various sources that may include Anthem's Leadership Development Programs, Succession Management system and/or High Performing talent to identify and champion key internal talent.

Desirable experiences include:

  • Experience using a candidate CRM tool and leveraging the tool to source candidates as well as manage relationships.
  • Has built and maintains a broad network of professional relationships.
  • Manage relationships across businesses and talent acquisition teams, establish ongoing relationships with hiring leaders in order to understand their business and recruitment needs and fill their open positions in a timely manner, and create strong partnerships with HR business partners.

Job Requirements

  • This position requires a BA degree; 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in recruiting physicians and licensed clinical positions that provide direct patient care preferred.
  • Executive recruiting experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting in a managed care organization and matrixed environment directly or in an executive search environment is a plus.
  • Recruitment experience for medical management positions at the mid-level leadership level or above is preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to act as a strategic talent partner and influence and consult with hiring leaders and HR peers as a subject matter expert.
